711 Carbon Steel. These knives are the main knife of Bushcraft in the UK. It is high carbon steel, with a single bevel blade, which means it easily sharpens to a fine edge (although it is supplied razor sharp) The half tang high impact handle is directly moulded, with a sure grip high friction rubberized handle.

Mora Knife 511 Carbon Blade
Mora knives are the best knife you can buy for the money, period. Used and suggested by many survival experts, this is an essential tool for the outdoors. Based on the traditional Finnish Puukko knife design, the basic design of Mora knives has survival for hundreds of years. Made in Sweden from the best quality High Carbon Steel, combined with a highly efficient grind geometry, the Mora comes razor sharp, retains its edge well, and is easy to sharpen.
This is modern version of the Mora design.
The blade is about 3-3/4" long , High Carbon Steel, harden to about 59-60 on the Rockwell Scale, traditional Scandi grind, High Visibility red plastic handle with finger guard, easy to find in the dark, functional plastic sheath.
